Manaslu Trek is thought to be one of the most interesting treks among the other available trekking routes of Nepal as this region was recently opened for foreigners in early 1990s and this unspoiled region has fewer visitors accordingly less spoken. This formerly protected region has permission for the organized trekking group only. It has been restricted area to protect its fragile natural resources and cultural heritage and to promote ecotourism to improve livelihood of the local people. The area is bordered by River Budhi Gandaki and to the west River Marshyangdi. This trekking region offers good varieties of natural taste; fantastic mountainous scenery; unique cultural diversity and flora and fauna alongside forest of Pine and Rhododendron. Animals found in this region are barking deer, pika and Himalayan marmots. The trek begins from the Budhi Gandaki and goes through the narrow gorge between the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal ranges. Besides these, you can have spellbinding views of Manaslu North, Ngadi and Himalchuli Peaks with glorious views of Himlung himal of Annapurna range.
